Amoxicillin

Directions Adults and children 3 months of age and older: 250 to 500 mg every 8 hours or 500 mg every 12 hours, depending on the severity of the infection. Take this medication for the full prescribed length of time. If your symptoms do not improve, your doctor may need to change your treatment plan. Do not take this medication in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Warnings Allergic reactions: Stop taking this medication and call your doctor if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If you have a severe allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention. Cautions Pregnancy: If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, do not take this medication without consulting your doctor. Amoxicillin may cause harm to the fetus. Breastfeeding: This medication may pass into breast milk and could harm a nursing baby. Do not breastfeed while taking this medication.
